About Me
I am a Brighton based photographer and my work ranges from portraiture and still life, to landscape, commercial and food and drink photography, and although I am based in Brighton I will travel if the job requires it. I work both digitally and using traditional photographic methods, I particularly like black and white film and print black and white photographs myself by hand.
From a young age I had an interest in photography, but it wasn't until 1998 when I was given my first SLR camera, that I really began to explore the medium and embarked upon my photographic education which continued until 2004 when, after many years of hard work, I graduated with a degree in photography. During this time I produced some of the work you see here and since then I have worked on many projects, personal and commercial, as well as being a photography technical demonstrator.
Photographers that inspired me include Brassai and Henri Cartier-Bresson, as well as Imogen Cunningham amongst many others, who all inspired me because of their unique styles and ability to capture an intimate moment. I continue to admire their work now but also take inspiration from more contemporary photographers as well as numerous painters and artists. |
